Bar codes are required by booksellers on the back covers of every book. We'll supply you with a professionally generated, high-resolution bar code by email that you can simply incorporate into your book design.
We charge $20 per bar code for this service, which is much less than the $25 to $35 charged by some companies. We offer only Bookland EAN bar codes, not UPC codes, and can serve only U.S. publishers.
To generate a bar code, you first must be assigned an ISBN number. Click here to order ISBN numbers.
The book industry has gone through a transition from 10-digit to 13-digit ISBN identification numbers. All new titles now use the new 13-digit number in readable text under the code.
To order, simply enter the 13-digit ISBN number accurately in the box below, select a file type and enter the book's retail price (optional). If you choose not to enter the book's price, it will be omitted from the generated bar code.
Then click on the "Add to Cart" button, fill in the details and place your order. Be sure to include a valid email address where we can send the bar code file. Bar code files usually are delivered within 48 hours of ordering.
