Remember Me Dancing

by Ken Parejko

Here is a historical novel that highlights the stuggles of Polish immigrants farming in central Wisconsin.

In 1995, we published With Trees on Either Hand by Muriel Havorsen, our best-selling novel about Norwegian immigrants in northern Wisconsin. In 1996, our series of heritage novels continued with publication of Remember Me Dancing by Ken Parejko.

Vivid depiction of harsh farm life in the early 20th Century is the backdrop for a romantic tale of Mary, a young woman who must choose between following her heart and marrying the man she loves, or obeying a parent and accepting the man her mother chooses.

Ken Parejko is the grandson of Polish immigrants. Born in Chicago and raised in northern Wisconsin, he teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie.
