Tips for getting published by Badger Books Inc. / Waubesa Press.
|
Badger Books Inc./Waubesa Press is interested in new manuscripts, both fiction and non-fiction. Most of our books have regional ties to the upper Midwest but some are distributed nationally. Recent titles published under our Badger Books imprint include "The Humor of Healing," an amusing history of medicine in America; "Once Upon a Hex," supernatural tales about the Pennsylvania Dutch; "Reel to Real," a compilation of celebrity interviews; "First and Long," a book about a joint football team fielded by a mostly black and a mostly white Milwaukee area high schools; "Snow on the Rails," which features tales about Midwestern railroading; and "The Travels of Increase Joseph," a historical novel about a pioneer preacher. Some of our books are published through our cooperative publishing program under our Waubesa Press imprint, in which the author (or an investor) and the publisher share expenses. Using print-to-order technology, our cooperative publishing program allows authors to benefit from our publishing and marketing expertise while receiving a much higher return from their books than the traditional 5 percent to 10 percent royalty offered by other publishers. To have your book reviewed for publication, please submit a synopsis and several sample chapters. Send your manuscript to: Badger Books LLC, 1600 N High Point Rd., Middleton, WI, 53562, USA. In most cases, you can expect a reply within six to ten weeks. |
